April 25: Religious Tolerance
I've noticed letters criticizing the pope and Catholic Church have shown up after the Pope's U.S. visit.
I'm no theological scholar, so would someone please tell me where in the Bible does it say to denigrate any religion that worships Jesus in a different way than you?
The dictionary describes a Christian as a person "professing belief in Jesus as the Christ." Sounds like the Catholics fit in there. Another definition is "a decent respectable person." Sounds like the pope to me, which is more than I can say about some letter writers.
