Lake Fork Crowded
Fishing space was at a premium on Lake Fork Saturday.
Along with the 104 members of the Professional Anglers Association fishing in the Toyota Texas Bass Classic there were another 96 fishing in a Media Bass team tournament and countless numbers of local anglers.
While it wasn't a perfect situation for anyone, it didn't seem to be that big of a problem either. Only a few of the pros mentioned having competition for spots.
The Media Bass tournament featured mostly below-the-slot fish, so the winning weights weren't that big. There were a 9.36-pound and a 7.93-pound bass weighed in.
Brandon Brewer, who during practice Friday caught a 12.5-pound bass and brought it to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials working the TTBA, and his partner, Craig Batey, finished 32nd in the tournament with 6.31 pounds.
Had the Royse City fisherman caught his bass on Saturday he would have finished second with that one fish alone.
