April 24: Corbett Offers Capable Hands
Laura Corbett has my vote for mayor, without a doubt. Besides being a terrific human being, Laura is a no-nonsense, can-do person. I can count on one hand how many people I admire as much as her.
I met Laura Corbett a few years ago when I first moved to Tyler. She had come highly recommended as an honest and fair real estate agent. I needed extra help because I didn't know Tyler at all. In a nutshell, she couldn't have been better: She listened and asked pertinent questions, tuning in to my needs and preferences. She was always friendly and tireless, going out of her way to make sure my move here was successful. I couldn't have asked for more.
Since those days, I have seen Laura exhibit the same positive attitude, sense of fair play and earnest dedication in her personal life. She keeps a full calendar of volunteer activities, is a terrific leader, and a go-to friend. Back in her city council and mayor pro tem days, she "ate and slept" the issues and concerns of the council, and got along well with her fellow council members. I have not always agreed with Laura's decisions, but know in my heart that she hasn’t and won’t make decisions thoughtlessly, or for political reasons. That's the kind of person we need for our mayor.
If we elect Laura Corbett, we can be assured that Tyler will be in very capable hands. She has already proven herself, so let's vote her in.
