Tyler Junior College To Hold Annual International Day
More than 50 countries will be represented during activities at the 18th annual International Day at Tyler Junior College.
TJC's International Day is scheduled Tuesday in the Apache Rooms of Rogers Student Center on the TJC main campus.
Admission is free.
The guest of honor is David Smith, a senior officer at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. The USIP is an independent, nonpartisan, national institution established and funded by Congress, according to TJC information.

Smith will speak at 11:30 a.m. in the Apache Rooms.
The countries represented during International Day activities include Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, England, Ireland, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
TJC's Harmony and Understanding will perform and other entertainment will include music and dance from Ireland, the Middle East, Mexico, Latin America, Africa and Turkey.
Samples of food and drink from around the world will be available.
