Daughters of the Republic of Texas Names Outstanding Educator
The first place winner among the District IV Chapters of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Outstanding Texas History Teacher competition is Lonnie Glosson.

Glosson is a history teacher at Bishop T.K. Gorman Middle School. He received a copy of the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico.

Glosson was sponsored by the Charles G. Davenport Chapter, Tyler, which also won first place in the competition. District IV includes 12 DRT chapters.
