All Saints Taking Home TAPPS Honors
All Saints Episcopal School took home awards from the TAPPS 4A academic and art contest earlier this month.

All Saints won the championship in art, with 50 entries in 21 categories. Thirty-four entries placed in 19 categories. Out of 16 students, 12 placed in the contest held at Concordia University in Austin.

Awards were: T.J. Thibodeaux, honorable mention for pottery; Kristin Goodwin, honorable mention for seek and sketch; Katie Lutz, honorable mention for on-site photography, Kristin Armstrong, second place for applied design; Allison Hardy, sixth place for painting transparent and third place for mixed media 3-D; Melody McEachern, second place for painting opaque; Rachel Orbaugh, honorable mention for interior/exterior furnishings and second place for sculpture; Rebecca Hanna, fourth place for digitally manipulated photography and third place for commercially processed photography; Danielle Parks, sixth place for seek and sketch and first place for pottery; Anna Pollard, fourth place for on-site drawing and second place for seek and sketch; and Christin Allen, honorable mention for computer generated design and on-site drawing, first place for creative and experimental photography and first place for seek and sketch.

Caitlin Armstrong was the big winner in the group, bringing home honorable mentions for senior portfolio and commercially processed photography, sixth place for on-site drawing, fifth for digitally manipulated photography, fifth for mixed media, third for drawing graphite, second for relief sculpture, second for drawing ink, fist places in mixed media 3-D, mixed media 2-D, sculpture, painting opaque, drawing ink, drawing color and drawing graphite.

Champions: TAPPS 4A All Saints students Lexi Massing and Carolyn Brown took home state championships in the academic contest held earlier this month at Concordia University in Austin for spelling and persuasive speaking, respectively.
