CANDLELIGHT TOUR, PARTY: Bennett and Carrie White will host the Historic Tyler on Tour Candlelight Tour and Party Friday evening at their home, 1503 S. Chilton Ave.
Historic Tyler’s tour of homes is scheduled to begin Friday, March 28, with a Candlelight Tour and Party, Tour Chairman Lori Marshall said.

The Candlelight Tour is set for 7-9 p.m., and the party is set for 8-11 p.m. The party will be hosted by Bennett and Carrie White in their French classic home at 1503 S. Chilton Ave., Tyler.

The party will feature live music, food and drinks. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased at Brookshire’s at Bergfeld Center, Brookshire’s at Rice Road, Chez Bazan, Eighth Street Boutique, French Peas, The Potpourri House, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, and at the door Friday evening.

Regular day tour times are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Day tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the locations listed above, as well as the ticket booth at the northwest corner of Bergfeld Park, near the playground.

“There are many wonderful homes on the tour this year, but the Candlelight Party home is unbelievable. And, it’s only open during the Candlelight Tour on Friday night, Ms. Marshall said.

“The party is always fun, and the weather promises to be great. I hope Tyler will take advantage of this great party to support historic preservation in our city,” she said.
