Council Of Garden Clubs Holds Standard Show
In conjunction with the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail, the Tyler Area Council of Garden Clubs will hold a Standard Flower Show at the Women's Building on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, spokesperson Sallie Clark said.
The theme of the show is patriotic. The Tri-Color Award, "God Bless America'' which is all fresh, will include creative designs "From The Mountains,'' and "To The Prairies'' and underwater design, "To The Oceans.''
The Designers Choice Award, "Let Freedom Ring,'' which can include any plant material and other components, will include creative designs, "Freedom of Assembly,'' "Freedom of Religion'' and "Freedom of the Press,'' a multi-rhythmic design.
The Table Artistry Award is "An American Tradition.'' "Independence Day Picnic,'' will feature a Type II Exhibition table. A functional table for two will show "Thanksgiving Dinner.''
