Penn Virginia Inks Multiple Harrison Wells

DEVELOPMENTAL
Harrison County

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill the Hatley Well No. 7, No. 8, No. 9, No. 10, No. 11 and No. 4 to 13,000 feet. The No. 7, No. 8, No. 9, No. 10 and No. 11 wells are 8.1 miles west of Marshall in a wildcat field and will lie in the Gillet, C Survey, A-9. These wells may also be drilled in the Woodlawn, Southwest (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 4 is 11.7 miles southeast of Marshall in the Hardwood (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will lie in the Monday, S Survey, A-14.

  • Six wells will be drilled in a wildcat field to 13,000 feet by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas. The wells are the Foster Gas Unit Well No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9. These wells are 7.3 miles west of Elysian Fields in the Monday, S Survey, A-14 and may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field or the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Winchester Production will drill the North Jonesville "C" Well No. 16 two miles northeast of Jonesville in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field to 9,900 feet in the Williams, E Survey, A-762. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 1.2 miles southwest of Waskom, in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field, the Fields-Isaacs Well No. 15 will be drilled by Devon Energy Production. The well will hit 13,000 feet in the Adams, WH Survey, A-54.

  • The Mobley Gas Unit Well No. 11 will be drilled 6.7 miles southwest of Marshall in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 12,500 feet in the Payne, J Survey, A-543 by Valence Operating. This well may also be drilled in the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field, the Blocker (Rodessa) Field, the Blocker (Page) Field or the Blocker (Travis Peak) Field.

  • GMX Resources will drill the Blocker Heirs Well No. 15D in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field eight miles southeast of Marshall in the Ussury, MS Survey, A-722. The well will hit 11,800 feet and may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field or the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Anderson County

    The Royal Well No. 6l, No. 7I, No. 8I, No. 9I, No. 115, No. 116, No. 117 and No. 118 will be drilled in the Camp Hill Field by Carrizo Oil & Gas. The wells will hit 600 feet in the Rogers, M Survey, A-883. All eight wells are 4.6 miles northeast of Elkhart.

    Angelina County

  • The Crossman, Stanley Well No. 2 will be drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) in the Raintree (Hosston) Field. The well is three miles northeast of Wells in the Jewell, GW Survey, A-384 and will hit 16,000 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Raintree (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Southwestern Energy will drill the Davis Heirs Well No. 1 in the Red Land, North (Travis Peak) Field. This well will hit 12,200 feet in the Barr & Davenport Survey, A-4. This well is 8.2 miles northwest of Lufkin and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Cherokee County

    The Goodman Well No. 3 will be drilled 1.6 miles north of Wells, in the Dayle Creek (Travis Peak) Field. The well will be drilled by Southwestern Energy to 12,500 feet in the Bowman, J Survey, A-88. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

    Freestone County

  • The Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field will see the Irvin Gas Unit Well No. 10 and the C.E. Turner Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2 drilled by XTO Energy. The No. 10 well is 3.2 miles east of Teague in the O'Neal, F Survey, A-728 and will hit 13,200 feet. The No. 2 well is 3.1 miles southeast of Kirvin in the Seth T. Ballou Survey, A0-54 and will hit 12,300 feet.

  • Devon Energy Production will drill the M.T. Peyton (Neal) GU 1 Well No. 12H in the Nan-Su-Gail (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well will hit 13,500 feet five miles northeast of Fairfield in the Palacios, MR Survey, A-20.

  • In a lease eight miles northwest of Fairfield in the Loper (Cotton Valley Lime) Field, the Pyramid Land Well No. 12 will be drilled by Apache Corp. This well will hit 13,000 feet in the Awalt, H Survey, A-4. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Loper (Bossier) Field.

  • Gregg County

  • In a lease 11.1 miles southeast of Longview, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the Buford And Blow G.U. 3 Well No. 11 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the Walling, J Survey, A-239.

  • The Danville (Pettit -A- Oil) Field will see the Griffin Ranch G.U. 1 Well No. 11. This well will hit 8,000 feet by Geo-Vest of Texas in the Bradley, E Survey, A-17. This well may also be drilled in the Danville (Gloyd) Field, the Danville (Young) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Leon County

  • In a lease three miles northeast of Buffalo, in a wildcat field, the Anderson-Bing Well No. 2 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The well will hit 7,000 feet in the Ellis, A Survey, A-261. This well may also be drilled in the Red Oak (Dexter) Field, or in the Red Oak (FB-A, Sub Clarksville) Field.

  • The Weathervane Well No. 1 will be drilled by Diasu Oil & Gas to 7,000 feet. The well is 0.1 miles south of Buffalo in the Red Oak (Dexter) Field. This well will lie in the Devinny, E Survey, A-228. This well may also be drilled in the Red Oak (FB-B, Sub-Clarksville) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Limestone County

    XTO Energy will drill the Ashworth Gas Unit Well No. 2 in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. The well is 14 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Rejon, MC Survey, A-26. This well will hit 14,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.

    Marion County

    In a lease 5.9 miles northeast of Jefferson, in the Rodessa (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Moseley Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The well will hit 11,830 feet in the Francis, JP Survey, A-156.

    Nacogdoches County

  • The Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field will see the Jenny Beth GU 1 Well No. 4 drilled by Samson Lone Star. The well is 10.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros. Survey, A-21. This well may also be drilled in the Miyagi (Pettit) Field, a wildcat field, the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field or the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field.

  • Exxon Mobil will drill the Trawick Gas Unit 18 Well No. 9w 5.1 miles southeast of Cushing in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field to 9,600 feet in the Steven Strode Survey, A-502. This well may also be drilled in the Trawick (James) Field, a wildcat field or the Trawick (Pettit) Field.

  • In a lease four miles east of Looneyville, in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field, the Grafton Well No. 2 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star to 11,000 feet in the Strode, S Survey, A-502. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, or in the Trawick (James) Field.

  • Navarro County

    In a lease 1.6 miles west of Streetman, in the Cheneyboro (Cotton Valley) Field, the McIlveen Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by XTO Energy to 10,400 feet in the White, J Survey, A-828.

    Panola County

  • In a lease 2.4 miles northeast of Beckville, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Cypress Point Resources Lease Well No. 1 will be drilled by BP America Production to 12,500 feet in the Koyle, RE Survey, A-381.

  • The Lilly Unit Well No. 21 will be drilled 4.7 miles northeast of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Devon Energy to 13,000 feet in the Hanks, S Survey, A-332.

  • The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Freeman Gas Unit Well No. 13 drilled by Anadarko E&P to 12,000 feet in the Martin, EL Survey, A-447. The well is 9.6 miles northwest of Carthage.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration will drill the Boise Southern Well No. 2H in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 10.3 miles southeast of Carthage in the Gillaspy, G Survey, A-222 and will hit 10,000 feet.

  • In a lease 9.8 miles northwest of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Freeman Gas Unit Well No. 12 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the Childress, HC Survey, A-137.

  • The Davis, Vera Well No. 10 will be drilled 2.5 miles southwest of Clayton, in the Johnson, A Survey, A-349. The well will be drilled by Sojitz Energy Venture to 10,200 feet in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. This well may also be drilled in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Robertson County

  • Three wells will be drilled by XTO Energy in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The Stegall Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 is 5.2 miles southwest of Franklin with 14,000 feet. The Stegall Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 is 6.3 miles southwest of Franklin with 13,500 feet. The Stegall Gas Unit No. 3 Well No. 1 is 6.5 miles west of Franklin with 13,500 feet. The wells will lie in the Reed, H Survey, A-35.

  • In a lease 9.3 miles northeast of Franklin, in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. The well will hit 20,000 feet in the Viesca, JM Survey, A-46. The well will be drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA).

  • The Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the Glynda McBeth Unit Well No. 13 and the McCullough, Mable Well No. 2 drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA). The No. 13 well will hit 13,200 feet in the McGee, WH Survey, A-220. Location is 4.7 miles northwest of Franklin and may also be drilled in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. The No. 2 well will hit 16,800 feet in the Robinson, E Survey, A-326. Location is 12.2 miles northeast of Franklin.

  • The McLean F Well No. 1 will be drilled 10.4 miles east of Franklin in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. The well will hit 19,000 feet in the Pereira, P/Grande, J&M Survey, A-32 drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas.

  • Rusk County

  • The Toon GU 1 Well No. 15 will be drilled 9.5 miles southeast of Kilgore in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field by Samson Lone Star. The well will hit 13,000 feet in the Frisby, W Survey, A-280 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 3 drilled by Forest Oil. The well is 5.3 miles southwest of Henderson in the McAlister, J Survey, A-597 and will hit 11,500 feet.

  • National Onshore will drill the Nana Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 to 12,000 feet in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well is 5.2 miles southeast of Henderson in the Peck, SR Survey, A-620. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Shelby County

  • In a lease 8.5 miles southwest of Center, in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field, the BP Georgetown 885 Well No. 1 will be drilled by BP America Production. The well will hit 12,500 feet in the G RR CO Survey, A-885. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, or in the Stockman (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 4 will be drilled five miles southwest of Henderson in the Malone, JC Survey, A-595. The well will be drilled by Forest Oil to 11,500 feet in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Samson Lone Star will drill the Forbus Estate Gas Unit Well No. 12 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field to 13,500 feet in the Frisby, W Survey, A-280. Location is 8.5 miles northeast of Henderson.

  • Upshur County

    In a lease 6.8 miles southeast of Gilmer, in the Rosewood (Cotton Valley) Field, the R.A. Hinson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 11 will be drilled by Verado Energy. The well will hit 15,000 feet in the Meriwether, WB Survey, A-318.


    COMPLETIONS
    Angelina County

  • The Bob Sessions Well No. 3 has been completed by Goodrich Petroleum in the Raintree Field to 12,305 feet. The well is two miles northeast of Wells and potentialed 786,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Hosston formation.

  • EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) has completed the Thompson, Connie Well No. 1, in the Raintree Field 4.9 miles southeast of Wells. This well hit 11,825 feet and potentialed 2.760 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Hosston formation.

  • Freestone County

    The Brumlow Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 13 has been completed by XTO Energy in the Freestone Field to 12,320 feet. The well is 4.7 miles northwest of Donie. The well was gauged on a 16/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.276 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

    Gregg County

    When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke the Akin, Oxy Well No. 02 potentialed 535,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The well is within city limits of White Oak in the White Oak Field. TXOK Texas Energy Resources completed the well to 10,919 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

    Harrison County

  • In a lease 9.5 miles south of Marshall, in the Blocker Field, the Brune-Burnett Gas Unit "C" Well No. 6 has been completed by BP America. The well bottoms at 11,950 feet and potentialed 657,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • BP America has completed the Emanuel Washington Gas Unit Well No. 6 to 10,410 feet in the Blocker Field. This well is 8.5 miles southwest of Marshall. When gauged on an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.391 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Clark Well No. 7 potentialed 645,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke. This well was completed by Comstock Oil & Gas in the Elysian, North Field. The well hit 9,868 feet with production in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on a 1-inch choke, the Spencer Well No. 4TP potentialed 163,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is 3.5 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Carthage, North Field. Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has completed the well to 7,112 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Gulley GU Well No. 14 is drilled in the Carthage, North Field by 10,052 feet by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas. The well was gauged on a 20/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.067 million cubic feet of gas per day. No location recorded. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Henderson County

    The Malakoff, South Field has seen the Kennedy Well No. 2 completed to 12,100 feet by Rising Star Petroleum. The well potentialed 1.467 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

    Leon County

  • Ensight III Energy Management has completed the Clute Gas Unit 1 Well No. 6 and the Well No. 3 in the Jewett Field. The No. 6 is 1.1 miles northeast of Jewett with 10,890 feet. This well was gauged on a 12/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.378 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 3 is 1.8 miles northeast of Jewett with 10,968 feet. This well was gauged on a 14/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.463 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The AG Hill Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 has been completed 2.1 miles northeast of Jewett in the Jewett Field by Ensight III Energy Management. This well bottoms at 11,902 feet and potentialed 1.787 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • XTO Energy has completed the Gail King Well No. 39 in the Bear Grass Field. This well is 7.2 miles northwest of Jewett with 13,150 feet. This well was gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 240,000 cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Limestone County

  • When gauged on a 20/64-inch choke, the Hudson "B" Gas Unit Well No. 9 potentialed 847,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is 11.7 miles east of Groesbeck with 13,050 feet. This well was drilled in the Freestone Field by XTO Energy. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration has completed the Wilson Well No. 8-R in the Box Church Field. This well is four miles east southeast of Groesbeck with 8,350 feet. The well was gauged on an 1-inch choke and potentialed 178,200 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • The Mary Virginia Well No. 1 has been completed by Dyad Petroleum in the Naconiche Creek Field. The well is 6.5 miles northwest of Appleby with 12,710 feet. No test data available. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated Cotton Valley Field.

  • In a lease 10 miles south of Nacogdoches, in the Red Land, North Field, the Alex Gas Unit 1 Well No. 2 has been completed by Samson Lone Star. The well hit 11,181 feet and potentialed 1.679 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 19/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Panola County

  • The Mangham Unit Well No. 24, the Hudson, Nell Well No. 17 and the Langford Well No. 6 H have been completed by Devon Energy in the Carthage Field. The No. 24 well is 4.7 miles northeast of Carthage and bottoms at 9,348 feet. This well potentialed 1.403 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. The No. 17 well is 4.4 miles southwest of Carthage and bottoms at 9,569 feet. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 2.705 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 6 H is 8.4 miles southwest of Carthage and bottoms at 9,310 feet. This well potentialed 1.398 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Anadarko E&P has completed the Hancock, J.F. Unit Well No. 12, the CGU 17 Well No. 19 and the Walton, Mary Gas Unit Well No. 7 in the Carthage Field. The No. 12 is 5.1 miles southeast of Carthage with 9,623 feet. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 1.012 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 19 is 4.2 miles northwest of Carthage with 9,855 feet. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 1.166 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 7 is 10.4 miles south of Carthage with 9,931 feet. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 396,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on a 20/64-inch choke, the Maxwell Well No. 1 flowed with 45 barrels of crude per day. This well is 3.4 miles north of Beckville in the Carthage Field. This well bottoms at 10,350 feet drilled by XTO Energy in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • In a lease 3.9 miles southwest of Beckville, in the Beckville Field, the TXU Simmons Well No. 2 has been completed by XTO Energy. This well bottoms at 10,330 feet and potentialed 784,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Rains County

    Eagle Rock Operating drilled the C.L. Huddleston Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 to 12,600 feet 4.4 miles southeast of Emory in the Ginger, Southeast Field. The well potentialed 1.191 million cubic feet of gas per day, choke size not recorded. Production is in the Smackover formation.

    Robertson County

  • In a lease 2.5 miles southwest of Bald Prairie in the Bald Prairie Field, the Whaley, T.W. Jr. Well No. 4 has been completed by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA). The well hit 13,404 feet and potentialed 3.864 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • The Olene Reagan Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 has been completed to 15,290 feet in the Bald Prairie Field by XTO Energy 18.5 miles northeast of Franklin. When gauged on a 16/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 804,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Rusk County

  • When gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the Arnold Rust Unit 2 Well No. 3 potentialed 864,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 5.2 miles north of Tatum in the Oak Hill Field. Comstock Oil & Gas completed the well to 10,400 feet with production in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • GMT Exploration Company Texas has completed the Wagers Well No. 1R to 8,606 feet in the Naconiche Creek Field 2.7 miles southeast of Concord. When gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 716,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

  • Anadarko E&P has completed the Major Kennedy Estate Gas Unit Well No. 18 to 10,690 feet in the Oak Hill Field 19.1 miles northeast of Henderson. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 2.012 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • In a lease 10.2 miles northwest of Tatum, in the Oak Hill Field, the Norris, N.C. Well No. 10 has been completed by Samson Lone Star. The well hit 10,807 feet and potentialed 1.230 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Shelby County

  • Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Timberstar-Perry 932 Well No. 1 to 7,063 feet 9.8 miles southwest of Center in the Angie Field. This well potentialed 8.890 million cubic feet of gas per day, choke size not available. Production is in the James Lime formation.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration Production completed the Cordray Well No. 1H to 6,464 feet 7.2 miles southeast of Center in the Huxley Field in the 6100 formation. When gauged on a 1-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.727 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

  • Upshur County

    In a lease five miles north of Longview, in the Glenwood Field, the Lester, J.W. Well No. 04 has been completed by TXOK Texas Energy Resources. The well hit 11,015 feet and potentialed 708,000 cubic feet of gas per day per day on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
