Drillers Complete Four In Freestone

COMPLETIONS
Freestone County

  • The Larson "A" II Gas Unit Well No. 8 has been completed by XTO Energy in the Freestone Field to 12,310 feet 6.2 miles southeast of Teague. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 767,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • XTO Energy has completed the Brumlow Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 16 and the J.M. Pollard Well No. 36 in the Freestone Field. The No. 16 is 4.5 miles northwest of Donie with 12,336 feet and potentialed 750,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 13/64-inch choke. The No. 36 is 3.5 miles northwest of Donie with 13,005 feet and potentialed 971,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 16/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • The Peter Daniel Estate Well No. 9 has been completed by Devon Energy Production 3.9 miles southwest of Dew in the Dew Field to 12,534 feet. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 574,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Gregg County

    The Christian, J.M. Well No. 09 and the J.K. Edwards "A" Well No. 02 have been completed by TXOK Texas Energy Resources. The No. 09 well is 0.5 miles north of White Oak in the White Oak Field with 11,055 feet. When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 737,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation. The No. 02 well is one mile north of White Oak in the Glenwood Field, no total depth recorded. When gauged on a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.193 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

    Harrison County

    The Lenora Allen Gas Unit Well No. 5 and the Frank Davis Estate Deep Gas Unit Well No. 7 have been completed by BP America Production. The No. 5 is 8.1 miles south of Marshall with 11,033 feet in the Blocker Field. This well potentialed 1.736 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. The No. 7 is 1.8 miles southwest of Woodlawn with 10,058 feet in the Woodlawn Field. This well potentialed 1.478 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

    Nacogdoches County

  • In a lease 10.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches, in the Douglass, West Field, the Rita Rae GU 1 Well No. 3 has been completed by Samson Lone Star. The well hit 10,670 feet and potentialed 3.326 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 22/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Mary Virginia Well No. 1 has been completed by Dyad Petroleum in the Naconiche Creek Field. The well hit 12,710 feet and is 6.5 miles northwest of Appleby. No test data was recorded. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Panola County

  • The Deadwood Unit Well No. 5 and the Alexander, O.W. Well No. 3 have been completed by Chevron U.S.A. in the Carthage Field. The No. 5 is 12 miles east of Carthage with 8,708 feet. When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 221,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 3 is 12.3 miles southeast of Carthage with 9,949 feet. When gauged on an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.574 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • When gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the A. Williams GU Well No. 13TP potentialed 2.204 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Location of the well is six miles southwest of Elysian Fields in the Bethany Field. Penn Virginia Oil & Gas completed the well to 6,992 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Carthage Field has seen the Page, L.E. Well No. 11 completed by Devon Energy Production to 9,653 feet 7.7 miles southwest of Carthage. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Williams, J.K. Well No. 3 and the Kyle Well No. 1 have been completed by Goodrich Petroleum in the Beckville Field. The No. 3 is 7.9 miles southwest of Tatum. The well hit 10,236 feet and potentialed 505,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. The No. 1 is 14.2 miles southeast of Henderson. The well hit 10,295 feet and potentialed 866,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Rusk County

  • When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke, the Black Stone Minerals Co. GU No. 1 Well No. 3 potentialed 1.232 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is 2.9 miles east of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. EnerVest Operating completed the well to 10,900 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Brachfield, Southeast Field has seen the Orr-Burks GU Well No. 9 completed by Goodrich Petroleum to 10,260 feet 13.1 miles southeast of Henderson. The well potentialed 738,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Shelby County

    In a lease 1.9 miles southeast of Joaquin, in the Joaquin Field, the Pickering Lumber Company Well No. B-17 has been completed by Hunt Petroleum. The well hit 8,812 feet and potentialed 1.902 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.


    DEVELOPMENTAL
    Cherokee County

  • In a lease 13.2 miles west of Rusk in the Southern Pine (Travis Peak) Field, the Parker Gas Unit Well No. 4 will be drilled by Cordillera Texas. The well will hit 11,300 feet in the Burnham, S Survey, A-9.

  • XTO Energy will drill the Singletary Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2 to 13,500 feet 3.2 miles west of Alto in the Alto (Rodessa) Field. The well will lie in the Lacey, M Survey, A-30.

  • Gregg County

  • Geo-Vest of Texas will drill the Griffin Ranch G.U. 1 Well No. 9 and the No. 12 in the Bradley, E Survey, A-17. The No. 9 will hit 11,000 feet in the Danville, East (Cotton Valley) Field and the No. 12 will hit 8,000 feet in the Danville (Pettit-A-Oil) Field. Both wells are five miles northeast of Kilgore.

  • In a lease 2.5 miles east of Kilgore, in the Danville, East (Cotton Valley) Field, the Judge Daniels Gas Unit 1 Well No. 8 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star to 13,000-fet in the Wells, H Survey, A-222. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, or the Danville (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • The Buford Well No. 12 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P 11.3 miles southeast of Longview in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the Walling, J Survey, A-239.

  • Harrison County

  • In a lease 10.1 miles south of Marshall, in the Darso, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field, the Harrison, B.S. Well No. 10 will be drilled by Comstock Oil & Gas. The well will hit 10,500 feet in the Duncan, M Survey, A-197.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill the Gloria B. Frazier Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 in a wildcat field. The wells will hit 13,000 feet. The No. 1 is 4.1 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Moore, DC Survey, A-456. The No. 2 and the No. 3 are 3.9 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Cellum, J Survey, A-145.

  • NEG Operating will drill the Lowry Gas Unit Well No. 4 to 12,000 feet 4.3 miles east of Hallsville, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will lie in the Dor, JM Survey, A-4. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Forest Oil will drill the Beatrice Key Gas Unit Well No. 7 in a lease four miles northwest of Karnack, in the Woodlawn (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,000 feet in the Watkins, RO Survey, A-752. This well may also be drilled in the Woodlawn (Travis Peak) Field, the Woodlawn (Pettit-Page) Field or the Woodlawn (Travis Peak -A-) Field.

  • GMX Resources will drill the Blocker Heirs Well No. 28D and the Ella Nolte Well No. 11D in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field to 11,800 feet. The No. 28D well is eight miles southeast of Marshall in the Ussury, MS Survey, A-722 and may also be drilled in the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, a wildcat field, or in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field. The No. 11D well is 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Wallace, L Survey, A-744.

  • Houston County

    XTO Energy will drill the Overshown Gas Unit Well No. 2 to 12,800 feet in the Bungard, E Survey, A-181 3.4 miles north of Augusta, in a wildcat field. The well may also be drilled in the Decker Switch (Glen Rose) Field, Decker Switch (Travis Peak) Field or the Decker Switch, Southeast (James Lime) Field.

    Limestone County

  • O'Benco will drill the Alton Sims Well No. 19 to 9,000 feet in the Freestone (Travis Peak) Field 13.8 miles northwest of Jewett in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4.

  • In a lease 14 miles southeast of Groesbeck, in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field, the Ashworth Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by XTO Energy. The well will hit 14,000 feet in the Rejon, MC Survey, A-26 and may also be drilled in the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field, or in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • In a lease 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches, in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field, the Black Stone-Pruitt GU 1 Well No. 2 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros Survey, A-21.

  • The Ben Irwin Gas Unit A Well No. 8 will be drilled by Enerquest to 11,000 feet in the Gomez, J Survey, A-229. The well is 3.9 miles southeast of Garrison.

  • Panola County

  • In a lease 2.7 miles northwest of DeBerry, in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field, the Roquemore Well No. 3 will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the Tuttle, D Sr Survey, A-668.

  • The Lutheran Church Well No. 3 will be drilled 7.2 miles southwest of Tatum in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Goodrich Petroleum to 11,500 feet in the Rogers, DF Survey, A-568. The well may also be drilled in the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field.

  • San Augustine County

    In a lease 15.3 miles northwest of San Augustine, in the Martinsville, Southeast (James) Field, the Timberstar-Hodges Well No. 1H will be drilled by Southwestern Energy Production. The well will hit 7,600 feet in the Hodges, JT Survey, A-350. The well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

    Shelby County

    In a lease 12.5 miles southeast of Shelbyville, in the Huxley (Fredericksburg) Field, the Bedrock Well No. 1R will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. The well will be drilled to 4,000 feet in the Smith, A Survey, A-641.

    Smith County

    Rising Star Petroleum will drill the Kelly Gas Unit Well No. 1 9.6 miles southwest of Tyler, in a wildcat field. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the Quevedo, T Survey, A-18.
