Three Cherokee Wells Scheduled

DEVELOPMENTAL
Cherokee County

  • In a lease 1.8 miles northeast of Wells, in the Doyle Creek (Travis Peak) Field, the Ricks Well No. 1 will be drilled by Southwestern Energy Production. The well will hit 12,000 feet in the Bowman, J Survey, A-88 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The W.H. Day, et al Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 4H will be drilled 2.1 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The Doyle Creek SWD Well No. 1 will be drilled 3.7 miles northwest of Wells in the Crossman (Woodbine 5960) Field. The wells will be drilled by XTO Energy. The No. 4H will hit 15,200 feet in the Reed, IH Survey, A-23. The No. 1 well will hit 6,400 feet in the Durst, J Survey, A-15.

  • A wildcat field will see the McKnight Well No. 1 drilled by Chesapeake Operating 10.2 miles southwest of Alto in the Bowman. J Survey, A-88 to 12,000 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Doyle Creek (Pettit) Field, the Sessions, S. (Woodbine -A-) Field, the Raintree (Hosston) Field, the Doyle Creek (Rodessa) Field or the Doyle Creek (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Anderson County

    In a lease four miles northeast of Elkhart, in the Anwac (900 Wilcox) Field, the Temple Inland Well No. 37 will be drilled by JLA Resources to 2,000 feet in the Erwin, R Survey, A-263. The well may also be drilled in the Anwac (1400 Wilcox) Field or in the Anwac (1300 Wilcox) Field.

    Gregg County

    TXOK Texas Energy Resources will drill the Harris, T.B. Well No. 11 within city limits of White Oak in the White Oak (Cotton Valley Sand) Field. The well will lie in the Castleberry, WH Survey, A-38 and will hit 11,300 feet.

    Harrison County

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill the Lawless Rhoades Well No. 14, No. 15, No. 16, No. 17, No. 18, and No. 19, in a wildcat field 4.4 miles west of Elysian Fields. The wells hit 13,000 feet in the Thorp, J Survey, A-701. The wells may also be drilled in the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, or the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • In a lease 4.5 miles southwest of Hallsville, in a wildcat field, the Jennifer Stewart Gas Unit Well No. 14 will be drilled by Enervest Operating. The well will hit 11,500 feet in the Berry, M Survey, A-75 and may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Mohon Gas Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled five miles southeast of Hallsville in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) to 11,000 feet in the Roberts, Z Survey, A-595.

  • Comstock Oil & Gas will drill the Swift Well No. 14 to 12,000 feet in a wildcat field. The well is 3.3 miles northeast of Crossroads and will lie in the Adams, E Survey, A-45.

  • Leon County

  • In a lease 15 miles northwest of Centerville, in a wildcat field the Daughtry Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by BRG Lone Star in the Hearn, TB Survey, A-351. The well will hit 10,600 feet and may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field, the Bear Grass (Pettit) Field or the Branton (Rodessa) Field.

  • XTO Energy will drill the Gail King Well No. 28H and the King, Gail Well No. 37H 6.5 miles northwest of Jewett in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The wells will hit 18,500 feet in the Rejon, MC Survey, A-19. The wells may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit) Field or the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Limestone County

  • In a lease 13.7 miles northwest of Jewett, in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field, the Doss Gas Unit Well No. 21 will be drilled by O'Benco. The well will hit 13,700 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field or Freestone (Travis Peak) Field.

  • O'Benco will drill the Bobby Reed Gas Unit Well No. 21 in the Freestone (Travis Peak) Field. The well will hit 9,000 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4. Location is 13.6 miles northwest of Jewett. This well may also be drilled in the Navasota (Pettit) Field or a wildcat field.

  • XTO Energy will drill the Richard H. Gross, et al Well No. 17 in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will hit 14,500 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4 and is 8.3 miles southwest of Donie.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • The Grolsch Well No. 1H will be drilled six miles south of Nacogdoches in the La Nana Bayou (James Lime) Field. The well will lie in the Esparza, PJ Survey, A-28 and will hit 10,500 feet.

  • In a lease 5.5 miles northeast of Wells in the Rad Land, North (Travis Peak) Field, the HGT Well No. 1 will be drilled by Southwestern Energy Production. The well will lie in the Ussury, N Survey, A-572 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • ExxonMobil will drill the Trawick Gas Unit 5 Well No. 11, Trawick Gas Unit 9 Well No. 8 and the Trawick Gas Unit 18 Well No. 7 in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field. The wells will hit 9,600 feet in the Bennett, Z Survey, A-9. The No. 11 well is 3.2 miles southeast of Cushing. The No. 8 is three miles southeast of Cushing. The No. 7 is 4.7 miles southeast of Cushing.

  • The Christian Well No. 6H will be drilled 3.6 miles northwest of Nacogdoches to 14,000 feet. The well will be drilled by Marathon Oil and will lie in the Sanchez, M Survey, A-510. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Navarro County

    Central Basin Oil Investment will drill the J.B. Bradley Estate Well No. 4CB in the Corsicana (Shallow) Field. The well will hit 1,500 feet in the Robertson CSL Survey, A-674 and is three miles southeast of Rice.

    Panola County

    In a lease 11.6 miles west of Tatum in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field, the Billy Sealey Well No. 6 will be drilled by Goodrich Petroleum. The well will hit 11,500 feet in the Robinson, JP Survey, A-571.

    Rusk County

  • In a lease 6.3 miles northwest of Henderson, in the Cyril, West (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,500 feet in the Ximenes, J Survey, A-47. The well will be drilled by NFR Energy.

  • The E.H. Pepper Gas Unit Well No. 14 will be drilled 4.5 miles southwest of Easton, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 13,000 feet in the Simpson, D Survey, A-37. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.


  • COMPLETIONS
    Cherokee County

    Marathon Oil has completed the Ralph Rozelle Gas Unit Well No. 7H to 9,725 feet 5.5 miles northwest of Alto. The well potentialed 1,909 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an open choke. Production is in the Pettit formation.

    Gregg County

    TXOK Texas Energy Resources drilled the Barrett, J.C. Well No. 7 5.5 miles north of Longview in the Glenwood Field. The well hit 10,900 feet and potentialed 371,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

    Harrison County

  • The Bookout GU Well No. 2 has been completed to 9,965 feet by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas. The well was gauged on a 10/64-inch choke and potentialed 2,057 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • In a lease 9.4 miles southeast of Marshall, in the Carthage, North Field, Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has filed first production papers for the Abney Well No. 9. This well has a depth of 10,070 feet and potentialed 1,425 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Oak Hill Field has seen production since NEG Operating completed the Mary Louise Waldron Gas Unit Well No. 10 6.9 miles southeast of Hallsville to 10,455 feet. The well was gauged on a 30/64-inch choke and potentialed 1,433 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The McJimsey Well No. 6 has been completed to 10,195 feet in the Carthage, North Field by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas. The well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 632,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Leon County

    Valence Operating completed the Polar Well No. 1 9.3 miles west of Jewett in the Farrar Field to 14,460 feet. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.068 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime formation.

    Nacogdoches County

  • In a lease 2.5 miles west of Nacogdoches, in the Little Ears Field, Marathon Oil has field first production papers for the Tatum Gas Unit Well No. 7H. The well bottoms at 12,813 feet and potentialed 2,936 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an open choke. Production is in the Pettit Lime formation.

  • The Holly Springs Well No. 4 has been completed to 9,306 feet and the Smith Family Trust Well No. 5 has been completed to 8,870 feet in the Naconiche Creek Field by Chesapeake Operating. The No. 4 well is 0.8 miles southwest of Springs and potentialed 748,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke. The No. 5 well is 2.5 miles northwest of Garrison and potentialed 1.383 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

  • The Jeannie Crump Well No. 1 has been completed to 10,700 feet by Burk Royalty in the Naconiche Creek Field 3.8 miles south of Garrison. The well flowed with five barrels of crude per day with a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Navarro County

    Square One Energy has completed the Kenner Moncrief Unit Well No. 5P and the No. 6P in the Corsicana Field. The wells are 1.1 miles south of Powell and bottomed at 990 feet with test data unavailable. Production is in the Shallow formation.

    Panola County

  • The Carthage Field has seen production since Basa Resources has completed the Smith Well No. 1 to 6,600 feet 2.2 miles southwest of Beckville. No test data was recorded.

  • When gauged on an adjustable choke, the Beckworth Unit Well No. 16 potentialed 306,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is 8.8 miles northeast of Carthage with a depth of 9,880 feet. The well was completed by Devon Energy Production Company with production in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Kabco Oil & Gas has completed the Shivers Well No. 1 to 10,100 feet in the Beckville Field 1/4 mile west of Beckville. The well flowed with 23 barrels of crude per day with a 24/64-inch choke size. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Rusk County

  • In a lease 6.8 miles northeast of Minden, in the Minden Field, National Onshore has filed first production papers for the Powell Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 10. The well hit 10,832 feet and potentialed 2,132 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • The Wilkerson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 6 has been completed six miles southeast of Henderson in the Minden Field by National Onshore. The well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 2,858 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Forest Oil has completed the Hinson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 15 to 11,180 feet four miles west of Henderson in the Henderson, East Field. The well potentialed 1,500 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 26/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Field.

  • In a lease 5.8 miles northwest of Henderson, in the Henderson, East Field, Forest Oil has filed first production reports for the Galan White Gas Unit Well No. 1. This well hit 11,270 feet and potentialed 900,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Cobra No. 1 Well No. 9 has been completed to 10,950 feet by El Paso E&P in the Minden Field six miles southeast of Henderson. The well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.431 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • National Onshore has completed the Spikes Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 8 in the Minden Field to 10,850 feet 5.6 miles southeast of Henderson. The well potentialed 2.450 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • In a lease 1.6 miles south of Henderson, in the Minden Field, El Paso E&P has filed first production papers for the Kangerga 2 Well No. 4. The well hit 10,950 feet and potentialed 1.540 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Chesapeake Operating has completed two wells in the Naconiche Creek Field. The Smith Family Trust Well No. 8 is 2.9 miles northwest of Garrison with a depth of 8,920 feet. When gauged on a 16/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.289 million cubic feet of natural gas. The Smith Family Trust Well No. 10 is 3.8 miles northeast of Garrison with a depth of 8,985 feet. When gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.090 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

  • Shelby County

  • In a lease 9.2 miles southwest of Center, in the Stockman Field, Encore Operating has filed the production papers for the Wheeler Well No. 2. The well hit 8,721 feet and potentialed 2,156 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 12/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • When gauged on a 26/64-inch choke, the Nobles Well No. 4 potentialed 1.502 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is 10 miles west of Center in the Stockman Field. Encore Operating completed the well to 8,715 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Tyler County

    When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the Reynolds Well No. 1 potentialed 23.414 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is 7.5 miles southeast of Woodville in the Brookeland Field. Ergon Energy Partners has completed the well to 13,896 feet. Production is in the Austin Chalk, 8800 formation.

    Upshur County

    The Phillips E-1 GU Well No. 13 has been completed by TXOK Texas Energy Resources to 11,800 feet in the Glenwood Field 12 miles south of Gilmer. When gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 419,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

    Wood County

    The Alba Southeast Block Unit Well No. 205 has been completed by Basa Resources in the Alba Field. The well bottoms at 4,239 feet and flowed with 11 barrels of crude per day, choke size unavailable.
