Halbrook Takes Second In Punt, Pass & Kick
INDIANAPOLIS - Tyler's Abby Halbrook finished second in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick National Finals on Saturday at the RCA Dome.

Halbrook, a sixth grader at Moore Middle School, improved on her pre-event seeding by two places.

"My wife and I both are really proud of her efforts," said Halbrook's father, Bobby. "It's really hard to say in terms of words. Anytime your kid is successful at anything, it really swells your heart."

Halbrook, who represented the Dallas Cowboys, finished behind Cincinnati Bengals representative Hollee Morris of Englewood, Ohio.

Halbrook and her family will attend Sunday's AFC playoff game between the Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers.

Punt, Pass & Kick is free. Competitions begin during the fall.

"It's just an opportunity that every kid ought to look at and pursue," Mr. Halbrook said.
