DEVELOPMENTAL

Rusk County

  • In a lease 2.7 miles northwest of Minden, in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Wilder Gas Unit Well No. 5 will be drilled by Enduring Resources. The well will hit 11,300 feet in the Reel, H Survey, A-32. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • The Vinson Gas Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled eight miles west of Tatum in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Samson Lone Star in the Simpson, D Survey, A-37 to 13,000 feet.

  • Anadarko E&P will drill the Kennedy G.U. 2 Well No. 9 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will lie in the Williamson, R Survey, A-46 and is 21.4 miles northwest of Henderson. Depth will be 12,000 feet.

  • Enduring Resources will drill the Green PR Well No. 1 and the Morris PR Well No. 1 in the Lane, Northeast (Pettit, Lower) Field. The wells will hit 7,430 feet. The Green PR Well No. 1 is 2.6 miles west of Minden in the Reel, J Survey, A-33 and the Morris PR Well No. 1 is 3.6 miles northwest of Minden in the Reel, D Survey, A-31.

  • The Lars Well No. 1 will be drilled 4.4 miles southeast of Kilgore, in the Danville (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field. The well will be drilled by Encore Operating in the Landers, L Survey, A-477 to 10,000 feet.

  • In a lease 2.6 miles southwest of Henderson, in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Kangerga 1 Well No. 9 will be drilled by El Paso E&P to 11,500 feet in the Smith, J Survey, A-709. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Forest Oil will drill the Harmon Gas Unit No. 1 in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 5.8 miles northwest of Henderson in the Ximenes, J Survey, A-47. The well will be drilled to 11,500 feet.

  • The Tufco Gas Unit 1 Well No. 5 and the Maxwell Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field by Enduring Resources. The wells will hit 11,300 feet. The No. 5 is 1.8 miles northwest of Minden in the Del Rio, S Survey, A-34. The No. 3 is one mile southwest of Minden in the Reeves, DW Survey, A-690. These wells may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • A wildcat field will see the Rio Well No. 3 drilled by PMO. The well will be drilled 1.9 miles northwest of Minden in the Del Rio, S Survey, A-34 and will hit 11,200 feet. The well may also be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field.


    Cherokee County

    The Southern Pine (Travis Peak) Field will see the Temple-Eastex G.U. No. 3 Well No. 4 drilled by Cordillera Texas. The well is 15.1 miles west of Rusk in the Burnham, S Survey, A-9 and will hit 11,300 feet.


    Freestone County

  • XTO Energy will drill the Ham Gas Unit Well No. 15H to 16,000 feet in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well is 3.9 miles southeast of Teague in the Lawrence, J Survey, A-364.

  • In a lease four miles northwest of Buffalo, in a wildcat field, the Holland Well No. 1 will be drilled by Unit Petroleum. The well will hit 11,500 feet in the Parker, D Survey, A-492 and may also be drilled in the Freedom (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The J.A. Gilliam Gas Unit Well No. 9 will be drilled 6.4 miles southwest of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will be drilled by XTO Energy in the A.W. Rowe Survey, A-885 to 13,100 feet.

  • Valence Operating will drill the Baum Estate Well No. 3 in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well is 7.4 miles west of Fairfield in the Kyle, AS Survey, A-358. This well will hit 12,500 feet and may also be drilled in the Teague (Travis Peak) Field.


    Gregg County

  • In a lease 3.8 miles northeast of Kilgore in the Danville (Pettit-A-Oil) Field, the Griffin Ranch G.U. 6 Well No. 11 will be drilled by Geo-Vest of Texas. The well will hit 8,000 feet in the Edwards, H Survey, A-64. The well may also be drilled in the Danville (Gloyd) Field, a wildcat field or the Danville (Young) Field.

  • The Griffin Ranch G.U. 2 Well No. 12 will be drilled 4.5 miles northeast of Kilgore, in the Danville (Pettit-A-Oil) Field by Geo-Vest of Texas in the Edwards, H Survey, A-64 to 7,900 feet. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Danville (Young) Field, or the Danville (Gloyd) Field.


    Harrison County

  • BP America Production will drill the Maude B. Brown Gas Unit Well No. 7 to 12,500 feet in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 11.2 miles southwest of Marshall in the Ramsdale, JF Survey, A-596. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill the Cousins Gas Unit Well No. 1 and No. 2 in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. The wells will hit 13,000 feet in the Anderson, B Survey, A-30 and are 0.6 miles northeast of Elysian Fields.

  • The Osborne Heirs Well No. 1 will be drilled 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Hardwood (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Forest Oil in the Gamblin, Hrs J Survey, A-281 to 11,500 feet.

  • In a lease 10.5 miles southwest of Marshall, in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field, the Patter-Herrin Gas Unit Well No. 8 will be drilled by BP America Production. The well will hit 12,500 feet in the Ramsdale, JF Survey, A-596 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Cousins Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled 0.6 miles northeast of Elysian Fields in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas in the Anderson, B Survey, A-30 to 13,000 feet.

  • Loutex Production will drill the Strange Well No. 1 in a wildcat field. The well will lie in the Hooper, BF Survey, A-296 and is 15 miles south of Marshall. Depth will be 11,500 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Waskom, Southwest (Cotton Valley) Field, or the Elysian, North (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Mercer Well No. 1 will be drilled 11.5 miles southeast of Marshall, in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by GMX Resources in the Smith, W Survey A -21 to 11,800 feet. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, Bethany (Travis Peal Consolidated) Field.


    Leon County

  • The Marquez No. 1 SWD Well No. 1 will be drilled 2.5 miles west of Marquez in the Marquez (Bossier Sand) Field by GSI Oil & Gas in the De La Concepcion Marquez, M Survey, A-12 to 3,500 feet.

  • In a lease 6.2 miles southeast of Ridge, in a wildcat field, the Gastar Holmes will be drilled by Gastar Exploration Texas. The well will hit 20,000 feet in the Viesca, JM Survey, A-30. The well may also be drilled in the Hilltop Resort (Pettit) Field, Hilltop Resort (Bossier) Field, Hilltop Resort (Knowles) Field.


    Limestone County

    The Morton No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 17R will be drilled 13.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will be drilled by XTO Energy in the Juan L. Chavert Survey, A-4 to 13,300 feet.


    Marion County

    A wildcat field will see the Burks Well No. 1 drilled by XTO Energy to 12,200 feet. The well is 13.4 miles northeast of Jefferson in the Peters, S Survey, A-308. This well may also be drilled in the Excelsior, Southwest (Pettit, Lower) Field, the Excelsior, Southwest (Travis Peak) Field or the Excelsior (Crane) Field.


    Nacogdoches County

  • The Manuel Herrera Well No. 16 will be drilled 14.5 miles east of Nacogdoches in the Martinsville (Travis Peak) Field. The well will be drilled by Samson Lone Star to 10,950 feet. This well will lie in the Flores, Hrs V Survey, A-30.

  • In a lease 11.3 miles southeast of Nacogdoches, in the Raintree (Hosston) Field, the Swain, Jean Well No. 1 will hit 12,500 feet in the Hamil, SH Survey, A-267. This well may also be drilled in the Gates (Travis Peak) Field, or in a wildcat field.

  • Goodrich Petroleum will drill the Bethune, Elizabeth Well No. 1 in the Gates (Travis Peak) Field. The well will lie in the Richards, G Survey, A-466 and is 10.4 miles southeast of Nacogdoches. Depth will be 12,500 feet.

  • The Dodgers Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled three miles northeast of Melrose in the Martinsville (Travis Peak) Field. The well will be drilled by Fossil Resources in the Flores, Hrs V Survey, A-30 to 11,500 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Martinsville, Southeast (James) Field.

  • Deep Rock Resources will drill the Standland Well No. 2 in the Naconiche Creek (Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated) Field. The well will lie in the Fulcher, W Survey, A-756 and is 5.4 miles north of Appleby. Depth will be 9,000 feet.

  • In a lease 14.5 miles east of Nacogdoches, in the Martinsville (Travis Peak) Field, the Herrera, Manuel Well No. 13 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. The well will hit 10,850 feet in the Flores, Hrs V Survey, A-30. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field will see the Stewart, Graham P. Well No. 18 drilled by Samson Lone Star 11 miles west of Nacogdoches in the Wilson, J Survey, A-59 to 12,000 feet. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Miyagi (Pettit) Field or the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field.


    Panola County

  • In a lease 7.9 miles northeast of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Cameron Unit 3 Well No. 14 will be drilled by Lacy Operations. The well will hit 9,830 feet in the Lagrone, WA Survey, A-390.

  • Devon Energy Production will drill the Davis, M.L. Well No. 6 H in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field 8.8 miles southwest of Carthage. The well will be in the Shields, J Survey, A-588 to 15,000 feet.

  • The Bethany, Northeast (Lime 3850) Field will see the Singleton S.W.D. Well No. 6 drilled by Key Energy Services. The well is 3.2 miles east of DeBerry in the Asher, J Survey, A-5 and will hit 6,000 feet.


    Robertson County

  • In a lease 11.1 miles northeast of Franklin in a wildcat field, the Landers Well No. 1 will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating. The well will hit 20,000 feet in the Viesca, JM Survey, A-46. This well may also be drilled in the Hilltop Resort (Austin Chalk) Field, the Hilltop Resort (Sub-Clarksville) Field, the Kurten (Sub-Clarksville) Field, the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) Field, the Hilltop Resort (Pettit) Field, the Hilltop Resort (Woodbine) Field or the Hilltop Resort (Knowles) Field.

  • The Fazzino Well No. 1 will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating in a wildcat field. The well will be drilled 2.2 miles northwest of Wheelock in the Cox, SH Survey, A-82. This well will hit 18,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field or the Ici (Georgetown) Field.


    Shelby County

  • In a lease 11.6 miles southwest of Center, in a wildcat field, the Sustainable Forest, LLC Well No. 3 will be drilled by Cabot Oil & Gas. The well will hit 9,500 feet in the Holt, AB Survey, A-1092. The well may also be drilled in the Angie (James Lime) Field.

  • The Sustainable Forest LLC Well No. 4 will be drilled 11.8 miles southwest of Center in a wildcat field. The well will be drilled by Cabot Oil & Gas to 9,500 feet in the Holt, AB Survey, A-1092. This well may also be drilled in the Angie (James Lime) Field.

  • Samson Lone Star will drill the Barney Well No. 1H in the Huxley (Fredericksburg) Field to 4,000 feet. The well is 2.5 miles southwest of Huxley in the Smith, A Survey, A-641.


    Smith County

    Southwestern Energy will drill the Jesse Randolph Odom Gas Unit 1 Well No. 13 in the Overton (Cotton Valley Sand) Field. The well will lie in the George, W Survey, A-1099. Depth will be 12,600 feet.


    COMPLETIONS

    Freestone County

  • In a lease 4.9 miles southeast of Fairfield, in the Teague Field, Marathon Oil has filed first production reports for the Utley "1" Well No. 26. This well hit 12,670 feet and potentialed 1.140 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the McAdams "B" Well No. 4U potentialed 75,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 0.6 miles south of Turlington in the Red Lake Field. Anadarko Petroleum has completed the well to 12,730 feet with production in the Travis Peak formation.


    Gregg County

  • Geo-Vest of Texas has completed the Griffin Ranch G.U. 1 Well No. 8 and No. 7, and the Cunyus Ranch Well No. 1 in the Danville, East Field. The No. 8 is 5.2 miles northeast of Kilgore, the No. 7 is 3.4 miles southeast of Kilgore and the No. 1 is 4.7 miles east of Kilgore. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke the No. 8 potentialed 1.500 million cubic feet of natural gas per day with 10,720 feet. When gauged on an adjustable choke the No. 7 potentialed 1.090 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, no depth was recorded. When gauged on a 30/64-inch choke the No. 1 potentialed 1.950 million cubic feet of natural gas per day with 10,814 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The J.M. Dickson Well No. 1 has been completed by Neumin Production to 11,030 feet in the Willow Springs Field 5.2 miles southwest of Longview. When gauged on a 17/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 787,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.


    Harrison County

  • In a lease 4.7 miles southwest of Waskom, in the Waskom Field, Comstock Oil & Gas has filed first production papers for the Hammond Estate Well No. 7. This well hit 9,751 feet and potentialed 1.045 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Williams Estate Well No. 4 has been completed to 9,875 feet by Comstock Oil & Gas 3.1 miles east of Crossroads. The well was gauged on a 20/64-inch choke and potentialed 515,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Devon Energy Production has completed the Bryson "A" Unit Well No. 10 H to 9,339 feet 2.4 miles southwest of Waskom in the Waskom Field. The well potentialed 1.736 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has completed Foster Well No. 3 and No. 2. When gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the Foster Well No. 3 potentialed 1.066 million cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 6.5 miles west of Elysian Fields in the Carthage, North Field with 10,281 feet. When gauged on a 16/64-inch choke, the Foster Well No. 2 potentialed 988,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 6.5 miles west of Elysian Fields in the Carthage, North Field with 10,325 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on an adjustable choke, the Aurelia Vann Gas Unit Well No. 5 potentialed 1.465 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is 11.1 miles southwest of Marshall in the Blocker Field. BP America Production completed the well to 10,422 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.


    Henderson County

    Ellis Exploration has filed first production reports for the Simmons Well No. 1. The well is six miles southeast of Malakoff in the Turlington Field. The well hit 9,360 feet. The well potentialed 1.137 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke.


    Leon County

    The Underwood Well No. 1 has been completed to 15,707 feet by Chesapeake Operating. The well is 5.3 miles northeast of Marquez in the Branton, West Field. The well was gauged on a 12/64-inch choke and potentialed 5.778 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime formation.


    Limestone County

    In a lease 14.3 miles northwest of Jewett, in the Freestone Field, O'Benco has filed first production reports for the Doss GU Well No. 14. This well hit 11,975 feet and potentialed 979,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.


    Nacogdoches County

  • The Reavley, Tom Well No. 3 has been completed to 10,590 feet and the Douglass GU 6 Well No. 12 has been completed to 10,645 feet by Samson Lone Star. The No. 3 well is 13.6 miles northwest of Nacogdoches and the No. 12 well is seven miles west of Nacogdoches. The No. 3 well was gauged on an 18/64-inch choke and potentialed 900,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day and the No. 12 well was gauged on a 19/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.248 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production for both wells is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the E.A. Blount III Gas Unit Well No. 01 potentialed 41,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. The well is five miles west of Garrison in the Appleby, North Field. This well was completed by Apache Corp. to 11,150 feet. Production is in the Rodessa formation.

  • The Mollie Melinda GU 1 Well No. 4 has been completed by Samson Lone Star. The well is 5.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field. Depth is 10,427 feet. The well was gauged on a 10/64-inch choke and potentialed 986,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Chesapeake Operating has completed three wells in the Naconiche Creek Field. The BM Land Well No. 4 is 6.5 miles southwest of Garrison with 9,243 feet. The well potentialed 1.701 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. The AT Mast B Gas Unit Well No. 6 is three miles northeast of Mayo with 9,155 feet The well potentialed 1.144 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. The WD Curbow Well No. 7 is 2.5 miles northwest of Mayo with 9,424 feet. The well potentialed 900,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.


    Panola County

  • In a lease 8.6 miles northwest of Carthage, in the Beckville, West Field, Anadarko E&P has filed first production papers for the Searcy Gas Unit Well No. 11. This well hit 10,048 feet and potentialed 1.710 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Hough-Shivers "A" Unit Well No. A-21 has been completed to 9,752 feet by Chevron U.S.A. The well is 3.8 miles south of Beckville in the Carthage Field. The well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.302 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Devon Energy Production has completed three wells in the Carthage Field. The Roberts Unit Well No. 20 was drilled to 9,753 feet, the Roberts Unit Well No. 25 was drilled to 9,733 feet and the Cummings Well No. 21 was drilled to 9,873 feet. Location of the No. 20 is 5.2 miles northwest of Carthage. The well potentialed 936,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Location of the No. 25 well is 4.7 miles northwest of Carthage. The well potentialed 684,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Location of the No. 21 well is 8.5 miles northeast of Carthage. The well potentialed 674,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on an adjustable choke, the Hogg, A.M. Well No. 10 potentialed 917,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The well is 12 miles north of Carthage in the Carthage, North Field. The well hit 11,602 feet drilled by Hunt Petroleum. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.


    Rusk County

  • The Harrell Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 5 has been completed to 10,875 feet by Enervest Operating. The well is 1.9 miles northeast of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. The well was gauged on a 28/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.135 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • In a lease 2.5 miles northeast of Minden, in the Brachfield, Southeast Field, Enervest Operating has field first production papers for the Harrell Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 8. This well hit 10,865 feet and potentialed 1.364 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • EOG Resources has completed the Katherine Well No. 7 and the No. 6 in the Minden Field three miles east of Henderson. The No. 7 hit 10,858 feet and the No. 6 hit 11,014 feet. The No. 7 was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 1.375 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The No. 6 was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 888,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.


    Shelby County

    The Baptist Foundation Well No. 1 has been completed to 5,206 feet by Maximus Operating. The well is 3.3 miles southwest of Joaquin in the Joaquin Field. The well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.907 million cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in the Rodessa formation.
