Emily Roberts Guinn
Emily Roberts Guinn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Greg Guinn of Tyler. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie Mallory Roberts and the late Angus B. Roberts and Martha Jennie Guinn and the late J. Donald Guinn of Tyler. She is a sophomore majoring in business at Texas Tech University at Lubbock and is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Miss Guinn is a graduate of All Saints Episcopal School, where she was a cheerleader. She was also a member of the volleyball team, softball team, Spanish Club and Art Club. She was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students her senior year.
Miss Guinn attended Camp Waldemar for girls for six years where she was a member of the Tejas War Canoe for three years and served as decorations chairman. She is a member of Marvin United Methodist Church, where she was an acolyte and assisted with Vacation Bible School. Other organizations where Miss Guinn has volunteered include PATH, St. Louis School, Angel Tree and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
In previous Rose Festivals, she has served as trainbearer to 1999 Queen Joan Lindsay Burroughs Woldert, a junior hostess for the Queen’s Tea, Rose Reflections model and Coronation runner.
